Our History

Founded in 1982, Rocky Mountain Propellers (RMP), Inc., began as a small operation at the Erie Municipal Airport doing maintenance, repairs and overhauls (MRO) for aircraft propeller and governor components, sales and limited services.  Over the years, the company has continued to grow in services and sales.  

RMP is an FAA/EASA approved repair station that performs overhaul and repair of propellers and overhaul, repair and exchange of PT-6 and overspeed governors.  We service Dowty, Hartzell, McCauley, MT, Ontic, Sensenich and Woodward products.  RMP is an authorized McCauley Service Center and MT Service Center.  We are a distributor for Goodrich De-Ice and Rapco products and have been specializing in propeller and governor overhaul since 1982.

Now owned by Hartzell Propeller, LLC, of Pique, Ohio, RMP continues its proud legacy, specializing in propeller maintenance, governor services and parts sales, all upheld by the "Built on Honor" promise.
